I met Andy at the specified time and began the tour with another chap who was sporting a Leica camera. I had an original Canon EOS M at the time and Andy was able to offer advice for both systems accordingly. My other half also joined us, but photography isn't her thing so she just listened in on the facts about Brugge and the places we were visiting. Bringing a non photo friend is free, so as long as that person can tolerate camera talk, they'll be fine.Anyway, fast forward to present day and I can now write about the latest tour, having visited Brugge for the 5th time.I obviously chose a different tour from last time and despite me having been to Brugge 5 times now, Andy was still able to show me areas I'd not yet set foot in.Anyone who says they can do Brugge in a day is having a laugh! The tour followed the same format of stopping at certain points along a predefined route and advising on how to best approach the subject or area with whatever camera the individual has. Various shots Andy has already taken are shown on his tablet to give you some inspiration and to give examples of various lighting and angles. This time, I was sporting a Canon 5D MK4 and another guy had a mobile phone. Again, Andy offered good advice for both and those with mobiles shouldn't be put off. As Andy said on the day, you can have all the gear and still produce poor results!I'll also add that I recently purchased a wide angle lens and had very little idea on how to use it properly. My usual thing is aircraft with a 100-400 so the advice offered came in very handy. Following on from my latest equipment purchase, I've also asked Andy various questions on social media in order to develop my skills, and he has always been very forthcoming with his replies.Would I recommend the tours? Absolutely! Will I book another one on a future visit? Absolutely!A pleasure as always Andy and I'm sure we'll remain in touch for years to come. less...
